It is grown on limestone and rocky soils and is perhaps the only variety that has given its name to the zone in which it is grown. In the past, it was also called the “wine of the stone”. Our region is the Robola zone where it is produced exclusively! Its fruit is yellowish, round with a thin skin. The cultivation of Robola requires a lot of care and it’s quite demanding. Our family’s vineyards are located at the foothills of Mt. Ainos where we produce the Vassilaki estate Robola with great love and care.
